Open Armour. Emotional circus and visual poetry.
It is the first proposal of the Cia. Marilén Ribot. It is a self-created show that is born from the personal need to embark on dealing with intimate but universal themes, always from a beauty perspective using a physical language that harmonizes circus techniques and dramatic writing.
Open Armour amalgamates body, word, movement, sound space and performance. Visual and textual dramaturgies coexist with circus disciplines such as: balancing on glass bottles, fakirism, Cyr wheel, aerial prism and knife throwing.
In Japan, when a piece of ceramic breaks, it is repaired with resin and gold dust, thus turning it into a unique object, endowed with a new aesthetic and a new value.
The Kintsugi of a life, this show wants to encourage us to embrace our wounds in order to accept and overcome them, thus turning pain into beauty.
